Recently, me and my pal John Charles were both REALLY EXCITED about our new Chewbacca figures (caps indicate that our excitement was possibly greater than warranted). Upon hearing him describe his offbeat Chewie fig, there was a small moment where I thought maybe we got the same one. But, heh, no.

Cute Chewie all the way. I keep trying to convince myself to buy one.
I really want that cute Chewie too. All those figures appeal to me intensely, to the point where it pains me to walk through the Target toy aisle and not buy one.
I think the grand supreme cutesy figure, though, is the cutesy Lando. Oh, that is a mighty toy.

Plus, y’know, I love Ralph McQuarrie as much as the next Star Wars nerd, but there’s a reason why that figure depicts a “concept” of Chewie, and not the real thing. It’s pretty damn scary.
