Mar 21At this point I think I have just one point of confusion re: Lost…
(Mild spoilers ahead, I think, if you’re not totally caught up…)
Am I correct in recalling that at this point, both the Others camp (via Ben and Hefty Gay Amiable Guy) and the Widmore camp (via the weird Captain) have both claimed that the other is responsible for placing the fake 815 and the 300-something corpses at the bottom of the ocean?
I’m having a hard time remembering, and I think it’s a key point, if I’m right in remembering. It’s sort of yet another “who do you trust?” scenario for the show.
What would be interesting is if they were working somehow together…but, eh. Probably not.
I think it’s entirely possible that Mr. Friendly is lying to Michael. But, isn’t the notion that Ben faked the plane crash simply a bit of hearsay?
I have to go back and rewatch. But I think it’s fair to say that some of the Widmore team don’t have the whole picture.
Here’s something that’s been bothering me…why doesn’t anyone care about finding the kids the Others kidnapped? They were mentioned in the Juliet episode and it reminded me that everyone has pretty much forgotten about them. Weren’t Jack and co. desperately trying to find and rescue them at some point? Now they are completely prepared to leave the island and the kidnapped kids behind. Huh?
That’s a good point–I remember that creepy shot of the kid dragging the teddy bear through the mud.
