Jan 10A (paraphrased) conversation between me (Sarah) and my friend (Other Sarah).
Other Sarah: Sarah, will you please look at this photo? Someone is trying to tell me that it’s John Barrowman kissing James Marsters, but I don’t think it’s James Marsters!
Sarah: I don’t know, that looks like Marsters to me! Very…Marsters-y.
Other Sarah: Really? Because I think it’s the other guy on Torchwood, the Frog-Faced Guy. Do you know who I mean?
Sarah: Yes, yes…actually, I can also see how it would be the Frog-Faced Guy. But the nose…the nose is saying Marsters!
Other Sarah: See, actually, I thought the nose was what made it not Marsters.
Sarah: But the nose is all squished up against John Barrowman. (gestures) See?
Other Sarah: I can see that, but I still think it looks more like John Barrowman kissing the Frog-Faced Guy, not John Barrowman kissing James Marsters. I asked the person who sent it to me if they were sure it was James Marsters, and they were like (snotty geek voice), “Yes. It is.”
Sarah: Well, then it must be. (pause) Either way, it’s very sexy, no?
Other Sarah: Oh, yes.
Random Co-worker: These are the conversations I have to listen to.
(p.s. — I still think it is, in fact, Marsters. Any other opinions?)
Marsters put in an appearance on Torchwood, and yup, snogged with Captain Jack. Because he’s Captain Jack and he’ll snog who he likes, thanks very much.

We were both aware of the Marsters appearance and snogging (tho neither of us have seen the eppy in question yet), but since everyone on Torchwood snogs everyone else EVENTUALLY, there was a question as to the identity of the snogger (snogee?). I thought I detected the ridiculous Marsters cheekbones and eyebrow scar, however.
That preamble was less for you and more for the general masses who don’t keep track of stuff that we do.

Thank you! I did indeed look at the clip, and it is awesome. But it looks like Marsters is wearing different shirts, so I didn’t know if it was the same scene — he has some sort of military-esque jacket in the clip and more of a tight undershirt-y thing in the screencap (or could just be the dim lighting in the screencap making the shirt look different). Is there more than one snogging scene?
Now that you mention it, he is wearing a shirt – Jack too. But the TV screen fire background is the same. It’s very dark in the clip, so I just assumed, but it looks like there’s a follow-up mashing later on, same bar, not in the clip. But, the fire background should be enough evidence to put them away for murder… I mean, prove it’s Marsters kissing Barrowman.
They should do an episode of CSI about this.
I’ve not watched Torchwood yet, but is it fair to assume it’s basically just Captain Jack making out (or, I guess ‘snogging’ – a word I feel too old to use) with random living things and then punching other, more different things?
If yes, I could get behind that.
