Anyone who has ever collected comic books knows what I mean when I say that I love the smell of old comics.

It’s a musty smell, like rotting paper, and so I guess it’s not a good sign, since the goal of most comic book collectors is to preserve those rotting bits of paper for as long as possible, in the best condition possible. Still, it’s a GREAT smell. It smells like history.

All of this is just to say I got a big ass whiff of Eau de Old Comics this morning when my eBay order for most of the first Wolfman/Perez Teen Titans run arrived. Man, am I psyched to dig into this batch of books. It’s already been a horseshit week and I can think of no better way to improve my mood than reading old comics and sniffing their magical scent.

Aaaaaaaaah.
