Heroes Pop Quiz #2

Heroes Pop Quiz #2

Sep 29

Time for another thrilltastic edition of the Heroes Pop Quiz! Will this happen every week or just until Sarah finally deletes the show from her TiVo? You’ll see! It’s like all those season 1 cliffhangers!

SPOILERS within.

1. Claire is..
a) Buffy Summers, season 5
b) Sydney Bristow, season 1
c) Dark Phoenix, junior edition
d) I don’t know who any of those people are, but I love teh Heroes!!! 🙂 🙂

2. An episode with no shirtless Mohinder and no Kristen Bell…
a) Blows.
b) Is merely sub-par.
c) Is still better than watching Nanny Carrie lose her shit on One Tree Hill.

3. Was that Girl Flash in the rock painting with Parkman?
a) Yes. Did you not recognize the supremely annoying hair?
b) No. Lack of twee, plinky music in the background means no Girl Flash!
c) I immediately fall asleep whenever “vision quests” are introduced on genre television.

4. Please choose one adjective to describe Sylar.
a) Skulky
b) Spocky
c) Scenery-chewy
d) Sawesome

5. The turtle…
a) Hates Parkman’s guts.
b) Hates the whole show’s guts.
c) Is all, “Can’t I get some better comics out here in the desert? Shit.”

  1. 1. Closer to Dawn Summers, really…
    2. C
    3. C
    4. D
    5. C

  2. Not being a Heroes watcher, I can’t answer most of this effectively, although I guarantee you that the answer to question 2 is NOT c, because NOTHING is better than watching Nanny Carrie lose her shit.

Is that by chance the lead teacher from Boston Public standing portentiously with Claire in that pic? I’d love to see a Boston Public cast invasion on this show. Especially the dude who played the assistant principal, who fell in love with Kathy Bates with a hook arm.

  3. Oh, I agree. I threw in that option because I imagine Nanny Carrie to be a very polarizing figure in OTH fandom.

Yes, that is Jessalyn Gilsig, aka the teacher David E. Kelley unceremoniously dumped from the show after hiring Seven of Nine. She also had a great run on Nip/Tuck. In Heroesland, she’s Claire’s superpowerd BioMom.

The hook-armed principal would be great as a new nemesis, someone who could give even Sylar a run for his money.
