Psychic…ness. Psychic..osis. Um…the ability to PREDICT THE FUTURE!

For Missy Peregrym, late of Stick It, has joined the cast of Heroes! (That was her last week as the sinister lab assistant person. I think her name is Candice.)

Yes, I know Matt said Wonder Woman, but close enough. His psychicosis isn’t perfect, OK? We’re getting Dr. Who to help him with that.

Warning: Veronica Mars SPOILERS ahoy!

Let’s all please give it up for James Jordan, who totally rocked that last eppy. Honestly, how many actors can say they’ve gotten killed off a show (James previously appeared as ill-fated Lucky the Janitor), then returned as a seemingly innocuous character with a pasted on wig, then gotten woven into the main storyline, then turned out to be the linchpin of the whole damn thing, aka the MURDERER?! The scene wherein V realizes that it was him along was a thing of beauty and he’s been generally great throughout this whole season. And he looks nothing like Tim (which I guess isn’t a big surprise, since that fakey wig ‘n’ glasses combo always looked like something nicked from the zany prop closet on The Muppet Show).

Anyway, big props to you, Mr. Jordan! May this lead to great guest gigs on other series or at least a primo signing table at Comic-Con.

Found via When Fangirls Attack, still one of my daily must-reads…

5 Women I’d Like to See Join the Cast of Heroes

Truly an excellent list, no? I’ve been wondering why no one is smart enough to employ Caroline Dhavernas on another TV series, but hey! Bryan Fuller, co-creator of Wonderfalls, works on Heroes now! Hook a sistah up, Bryan. You know she’ll rock it. Maybe you can get Katie Finneran while you’re at it, she is way too awesome to not be on my TV screen every week. I also put in a plea for Emma Caulfield in my last episode review. Please?

Oh shit! I'm totally fucked!

So, Cory has a new comic he’d like to share. Rather, his comic shop recommended it to him and now he’s recommending it to all of us. DMZ, by Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli – I’m very happy my buying them in singles helped so Cory could by it in TPB and declare it one of “a new kind of comic.”

But then I thought, “Holy shit! What if Cory reads an OLD kind of comic and likes it? Then he’ll tell everyone how much he likes it, and I’ll die of a heart attack!”

I DON’T WANT TO DIE OF A HEART ATTACK!

So please, for gods sake, don’t anyone tell Cory about all the Starman trades out there – or The Shade mini-series that went with it. Or the JSA: The Liberty File. Has he read Marvels, or Kingdom Come, does anyone know? Maybe I’ll be ok.

But, if he ever discovers Astro City, I’m a goner. Matt, Sarah, if that happens… I love you guys, and you can have my trade paperback collection.

I’ve been reading Planet Hulk loyally over in The Incredible Hulk; I think it’s been fun, absolutely credible science fiction with the Green Goliath tossed into the mix as the ultimate wild card.

As such, I’ve been excited for World War Hulk, the miniseries coming this summer in which the Hulk finally returns to Earth to ostensibly seek revenge against those especially puny humans who chose to blast him out into space.

What especially excited me was Joe Quesada’s description of the event as a “sorbet” after the universe-spanning angst and chaos of Civil War. Here’s more of what he said:

However, with respect to the sheer number of tie in titles, this will nothing like Civil War. It’s a giant story but not a giant publishing event so the investment for fans will be minimal and it will be constructed very similar to our past Ultimate Universe events. But, the story will involve almost everyone, will have lots and lots of smashing and will answer some questions once and for all that have been troubling Marvel readers for some time now.

In other words, not as big, right?

WRONG.
