Dec 14Check out this incredibly bad ass international poster for The Dark Knight.
About the only thing that would make it exponentially cooler is if the city depicted were actually my hometown of Chicago, instead of a computer-generated rendering. Chicago stands in for Gotham for much of the shooting in Nolan’s Batman films.
Still, it’s enough that Christian Bale has actually breathed some of the same oxygen as I have. Sigh.
Did you notice the rip off of the Uncle Sam poster? There is a longitude/latitude on the poster. Throwing it in Google Earth puts the location about 1/4 mile or so west of the San Diego Padres ballpark in the middle of a little park.
Interesting.
This movie’s marketing is lousy with little touches and secrets. It’s very creative and fun.
