Apr 23The A.V. Club checks out Frank Miller’s cover for All-Star Batman and Robin #5, which features an extremely weird image Wonder Woman’s ass. Like, it’s just a picture of…an ass. In extreme close-up! Where are her arms? Is that a boob? Why is her ribcage all pointy?
This post also helpfully directs you to comics reader Karen, who gives us a few cover mock-ups focusing on male superhero, er, attributes in much the same way.
There’s a discussion going on at Newsarama about this where some are actually claiming that this is some kind of satirical statement on Miller’s part.
i don’t see it.
I think that’s giving him too much credit – you saw how he drew all his women in the Dark Knight Returns series, he just likes drawing women standing in awkward poses.
