So I just recently learned how to work Flickr, which I know makes me a moron, and the first thing I managed to do is to photograph some shots of the Bexley, OH 4th of July parade while visiting family, including these dapper gents showing off their bestest homemade busting gear.

They were out to promote a showing of the classic Ghostbusters at the Drexel Theatre in nextdoor Columbus.

As I saw them up the street, I immediately shouted, “Here come the nerds. My people!”

Did you go see Ghostbusters? I knew about the screening – had I known you were headed to Ohio, I would have alerted you sooner!

You can’t beat Ghostbusters with a crowd.

No. Sigh. The screening’s not for another two weeks.

Here’s what happened: the parade goes right in front of my sister-in-law’s house, and so we got out there to watch it, and I saw the Ghostbusters, and I was like, “OMG I gotta get this to Chris ASAP,” and I took pictures and e-mailed them to you with details. That’s the e-mail that must have gotten lost, or unsent, or who knows what–my phone is hardly reliable.

I had this fantasy of pulling up protoncharging.com a few hours later and showing my family how much geek cred I had–one e-mail is all it takes to get Bexley on the nerd map, baby!

Oh well. Next time, for sure.
