Yeah, when I saw that in the theater, I was shocked that it was the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still. I really wouldn’t have expected that it was supposed to be the same property.
Please don’t hit me, anybody–I have never seen the original. I think I must before this comes out.
It looks…weird. Like a shitty blockbuster grafted onto a perfectly serviceable sci-fi parable, which is what I suspect it is.
