This is a great Greg Rucka interview from VicSage.com on The Question, which has me drooling to read the TPB of the first six issues. Someday, credit card, I will destroy you and the streets will run green with my responsible purchases!

I bought my friend this awesome book for her birthday last weekend and it sparked a long dormant memory. One of the entries is for the great Brian Thompson, who I think of as The Judge from Buffy, the Alien Bounty Hunter in X-Files, and one of those guys you always see signing autographs at genre-related conventions. Anyway, many years ago, at one of my old workplaces, we stumbled across his official website, which contains his beyond-awesome demo reel. The best revelation from said reel? Brian Thompson is hilarious. Sure, he can do “menacing” along with the best of ’em, but I’d love to see him nab a good sitcom role. Me and the old workmates repeated the “I’ll have the linguine with sundried tomatoes…” line way more times than is probably healthy (and it’s one of those things that gets funnier and funnier with repetition).

Warren Ellis is podcasting again, compiling tunes from unheard and unsigned bands into sweet little nuggets of something akin to heaven. It’s called The 4am and the first episode is at that very link.

I abandoned radio years ago. Even before the mp3 era was born, I was a die-hard Walkingman. Take this top 40 and shove it. I’ve never looked back.

Which should provide some perspective when I tell you that Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston is stuck in my head. This song is getting enough airplay that it punched through my carefully constructed bubble of I-play-what-I-want.

Thankfully, the Internets has saved me. Thank you MC Skeletor – now I can go with the masses, but on my terms. You may need to select the track specifically on the right – as the auto player is on random.
