Mission Accomplished!
Nov 03I work in an office with a couple of major Legoheads – as in, buckets and buckets of bricks, and a lot of designing new ships from scratch. So, I see a lot of Lego links. This one dude, being linked around the Lego community (and by proxy, me) was building an aircraft carrier to the scale of the little minifig dudes (see, I even know what the littler fuckers are called – help me.)
And as it happens, he’s finished it. Holy shit.
Boom Goes the Veronica
Nov 02OK, usually I feel like I am pretty up on the viral video tip, if only because I have at least a couple of friends who seem to exist purely to pass along YouTube links accompanied by bare bones commentary (“LOL!”). But somehow…some way…“Boom Goes the Dynamite” completely passed me by. COMPLETELY, people!
Until now, because Veronica Mars clued me in. Or actually, Television Without Pity clued me in. See, I knew Vero was referencing something with her sassy “Boom goes the dynamite!” But I didn’t know what. Now I do! Watching Veronica Mars totally makes me learn things.
I Would Never Live in the 24th Century!
Nov 02Fans of nerd classic Free Enterprise (and if you’re reading this site, surely you are one) will likely recall that Mark edited a magazine called Geek Monthly. Well, guess what, fankids? That magazine is now real. FE producer/co-writer Mark A. Altman is co-publisher and editorial director and the first issue has Rainn Wilson on the cover dressed as James Bond. Genius, no?
And if you really need another reason to check out the first issue, well…there just might be something written by yours truly on page 84. It’s about the sweetest of topics — geek love. Do me a solid and check it out.
Hellooo, McFly!
Nov 01There isn’t much to say, other than I love that Gnarls Barkley makes a point of dressing up in costumes when they perform, and as evidenced by the latest issue of Spin, even just for a photo.

No Ghostbusters, as yet – perhaps because Alien Ant Farm wasted the opportunity. And yet, I remain optimistic.
