Friday Linkage
Nov 09Here’s an article I wrote about Katee Sackhoff. I initially described Sarah Corvus as a “leather-clad” baddie, but then I realized the jacket she usually wears is not actually leather — just really dark black. Though, in a recent episode, she did have a leather jacket on, so I guess the statement was technically true. But I changed it anyway, my vision clouded with thousands upon thousands of angry internet posts about my general idiocy and lack of attention to detail.
A lot of your favorite geek TV writers are blogging — and blogging well — about the strike. Mark Verheiden, Jane Espenson and yes, Joss Whedon all have thoughts to share (I can’t seem to link directly to Joss’ posts as Whedonesque is having some issues…but they might be fixed by the time you read this).
I, meanwhile, am blogging about way less important stuff as part of NaBloPoMo. There is a random Joss sighting in there, though, if you enjoy such things.
Join Starfleet Academy!
Nov 06A friend just sent me word of this exciting open casting call. I was seriously considering going until I got to the part where you need to be “thin, athletic and fit.” Sadly, this disqualifies me…and — if I may be so bold — a good number of fellow Star Trek fans.

Optimus Wants You
Oct 19As Chris and Matt are about to learn, this is my new favorite toy. I love how one of the options is for Optimus to tell you to stop “blogging.”
I think the best one of these is still the Alec Baldwin one they had set up for 30 Rock for a bit, but I guess getting a call from Alec Baldwin probably isn’t as funny in light of the whole “thoughtless little pig” incident.
We're Going the Wrong Waaaaaaaay!
Oct 09There are a lot of shows that I like on TV right now, but not many that I love. I miss feeling that passion, that full body obsession that I had for shows like Buffy and Alias and Veronica Mars.
Thankfully, PopWatch just reminded me that Battlestar Galactica is finally, finally coming back.
