Abrams is doing a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.startrek.com\/startrek\/view\/news\/article\/15891.html\">new Star Trek film<\/a>, based on the early adventures of Kirk and Spock. My brain, she goes like this: &#8220;Oh, yes&#8230;oh, <em>no<\/em>.&#8221; Because combining an awesome geek creator like J.J. with Star Trek is something akin to nerd nirvana, but doing a film with younger versions of Kirk and Spock? Iconic characters played by actors who are not Shatner and Nimoy? That just seems&#8230;not right. And like a recipe for disaster. I don&#8217;t know.
