One of the entries is for the great <a href=\"http:\/\/imdb.com\/name\/nm0859921\/\">Brian Thompson<\/a>, who I think of as The Judge from <em>Buffy<\/em>, the Alien Bounty Hunter in <em>X-Files<\/em>, and one of those guys you always see signing autographs at genre-related conventions. Anyway, many years ago, at one of my old workplaces, we stumbled across his official website, which contains his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brianthompson.com\/demoreel.html\">beyond-awesome demo reel<\/a>. The best revelation from said reel? Brian Thompson is <em>hilarious<\/em>. Sure, he can do &#8220;menacing&#8221; along with the best of &#8217;em, but I&#8217;d love to see him nab a good sitcom role. Me and the old workmates repeated the &#8220;I&#8217;ll have the linguine with sundried tomatoes&#8230;&#8221; line way more times than is probably healthy (and it&#8217;s one of those things that gets funnier and funnier with repetition).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I bought my friend this awesome book for her birthday last weekend and it sparked a long dormant memory.
