Re-casting her this late in the game would be jarring and weird, for sure. What I find most sad about the tabloid-y newsbit (referenced <a href=\"http:\/\/community.tvguide.com\/thread.jspa?threadID=800011070\">here<\/a>) that started the whole ruckus, however, is that little Rupert Grint says he and Danny R. are currently &#8220;distant&#8221; from Emma and that they &#8220;don&#8217;t text or talk to her&#8221; when they&#8217;re not filming. Awww! In the language of Kids Today, isn&#8217;t not texting the equivalent of declaring someone dead to you? So sad!<\/p>\n<p>Also, the TV Guide bit contains a reference to getting &#8220;a Gyllenhaal,&#8221; which I guess is now code for re-casting. By the way, I&#8217;m thrilled at the idea of Maggie playing opposite Christian Bale, but it&#8217;s kind of weird that she&#8217;s reportedly the same character as Kate Cruise.
