Yeah I read that first entry when there were only 2 comics. I actually commend you on being honest. Most people would never admit that they are total whores for free stuff. I see it almost daily where I work. ALL PEOPLE LOVE FREE STUFF. You are not alone!

Matt, if you're lucky, yes, you will be known by the moniker you mentioned. Because then people will remember you, and you can use that to initiate a conversation. If you are REALLY lucky, people will read everything else here, and eventually forget all about this, except maybe on FCBD.

If you want to heal your karma, go back to that store, and buy a graphic novel for your kid. (You don't have to explain why you're doing it.) When you're done reading it to him/her, donate to your local library, which celebrates Free Book Day every day of the year. (If the librarian scoffs at you, find another librarian. Most are hip to the fact that kids love comics, and it's a great way to get them reading library books.)

(And, if you wish to be a GREAT father, read to your kids every chance you can. Start the day they're home from the hospital. Make sure there are lots of books for them to read and look at. If you're lucky, they might give you a graphic novel instead of a tie for Christmas!)
