Blah Blah Blah Comics Blah (3/25)
Mar 25For a change, my comics diet lately hasn’t been just pleasant regurgitation from the big two, but some actual new comics, with first issues and everything. Does this mean I have indie cred? Probably not–I still bag and board.
This time: Comic Book Comics, RASL, Nearly Infamous Zango, Criminal v2, and I think that’s probably about it, really.
Oh, Marvel_B0y! You cad.
Mar 25I sorta glanced half-heartedly over at the whole Marvel_B0y blog controversy as it unfolded over the past few days. I saw that the LiveJournal had been taken down thanks to the mention in Lying in the Gutters, and I noted there were some potentially explosive spoilers in the comments of the dead journal, and I wished I’d not missed them, but I pretty much moved on.
Then this morning, I see Marvel_B0y has returned. So have the spoilers.
There are possible spoilers at those links for Marvel’s upcoming storylines, and I may even get into them below, so please do not click anyplace up in here if you don’t wanna be spoiled. Here endeth the warning.
I must've got Lost
Mar 21At this point I think I have just one point of confusion re: Lost…
(Mild spoilers ahead, I think, if you’re not totally caught up…)
"Dear kid. Fuck you. Love, Mattel"
Mar 17I keep meaning to dig through all my back issues one of these days to compile a stack of all the random nineties issues where I had letters printed, and then to scan those letters in and post them, in order to mock my own pathetic teenage nerdity–not that it was pathetic for me to be a nerd as a teen; rather that I did a pathetic job of writing what I thought to be especially erudite and clever letters.
Anyway, here’s a great story of one hopeful seven-year-old’s dreams dashed to pieces at the feet of Mattel corporate policy.
Meltzer on Buffy
Mar 06I hate to be a big ol’ bitchy fanboy, but this news pretty much insures a steaming pile of shit will squeeze out smack in the middle of Buffy Season Eight. I’ve just grown to dislike Meltzer’s writing so much…MEH!
(WARNING: Spoilers at the link.)
